School of Chemical Engineering and Materials Holds Training Session on National Natural Science Foundation Project Applications

To advance the application process for National Natural Science Foundation (NSFC) projects within our School, improve the quality of submissions, and stimulate the original innovation capacity of scientific and technological personnel, the School organized a training session on NSFC project applications on November 26. Professor He Benqiao from Tiangong University was invited to deliver the training. The session was presided over by Professor Yin Zhen, Vice Dean of the School.

During the training session, Professor He Benqiao shared his experience and key considerations regarding NSFC project applications. From the perspective of a reviewer, he summarized common issues that frequently arise in proposal writing and analyzed recent application trends. Furthermore, using his own successful NSFC project proposal as an example, he provided a detailed explanation on crucial aspects such as refining the project title, crafting the abstract, constructing the justification for the project, defining research content and objectives, outlining the technical roadmap, and highlighting unique features and innovations. He also conducted face-to-face commentary and guidance on six draft proposals from our School's faculty members.

Professor He's sharing and guidance provided new ideas and methods for our School's scientific and technological personnel in preparing their NSFC applications. In the next phase, the School will actively provide assistance to faculty members to enhance the quality and standard of their project applications, making every effort to ensure the success of the 2025 NSFC application campaign.
