In order to comprehensively deepen the reform of graduate education and teaching, fulfill the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, innovate talent training models, enhance the quality of talent cultivation, and advance the implementation of the Teaching Excellence Plan, the School of Chemical Engineering and Materials held a promotion meeting for its 2024 Graduate Education and Teaching Reform Research Projects at noon on November 11. The meeting was presided over by Vice Dean Yin Zhen. Department and teaching/research section heads from the School, as well as principal investigators of various projects under the Tianjin Higher Education Institution Graduate Education Reform Research Plan, attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Vice Dean Yin Zhen first provided a detailed overview of the current state of graduate student training within the School, the new requirements and situation facing graduate education in the new era, and the context following the promulgation of the Academic Degrees Law. He also put forward considerations regarding the graduate education reform projects.

The attending teachers respectively reported on the progress of their Graduate Education and Teaching Reform Research Projects and provided valuable suggestions and references for subsequent teaching reform work. Vice Dean Yin Zhen proposed the next steps for the work plan. Looking ahead, the School will continue to intensify efforts in teaching reform, constantly improve education and teaching quality, adhere to the fundamental role of education, promote connotative development, accelerate the pace of high-quality development in graduate education, build a top-notch innovative talent training system, and fully drive the School's graduate education work to new heights.
